What a busy inbox you have there!

With so many messages vying for your attention, thanks for reading this one. And given how much we wade through in a day, clear and concise communication is vital—especially for in-house lawyers who influence many areas of the organisation. After all, what's the point of crafting that eloquent report your English teacher would have been proud of, if no one reads it?

Inspired by the insistence on brevity and clarity in Writing For Busy Readers (Todd Rogers), let's cut through the noise and get straight to the point.

Here’s what’s in July's Juno Counsel:

  • Fleur Peacocke, GC at Tip Top: sharing her double scoop with us

  • Upper Hutt City Council Legal Team: advocating for the little guy in local government

  • Juno Clause Bank: access our updated clause bank for contracts

  • Office Hack: simplify tracked changes in Word

  • What we are reading

Done. Simple. Thanks for making room for these insights in your inbox.

JUNO SHARING: Clause bank

Open and Generous is one of Juno's core principles. Our recently updated public clause bank is part of our Juno Resources and has a range of the most common legal clauses that we use whenever reviewing or preparing contracts—dispute resolution, payment terms, and many others.

You're welcome to use and adapt the clause bank to your business's requirements so it can become an even more powerful tool for you and your legal team. It's available on our website and you can contact us for a Word doc of all clauses.

If you have any great clauses you would like to share with the in-house legal community, we invite you to share them with us, either attributed to you or anonymously.
